PE & Sports Premium
At St John’s, we have a strong tradition of participation, inclusion, enjoyment and success in sport, leading to us holding the School Games Platinum Award for 2 years running . The school participates in a range of competitive sports such as football, netball, cricket, tag-rugby, athletics, cross-country and swimming.
In Physical Education, children develop their physical skills, knowledge and understanding through games, gymnastics, dance, athletics, swimming and adventurous activities. Through this subject, we promote the importance of being active and of having a healthy lifestyle.
Our after school clubs offer children the opportunity to be involved in a variety of sports and activities to develop their fitness and extend their sporting repertoire.
Strong emphasis is placed upon the school games values of Passion, Self Belief, Respect, Honesty, Determination and Team Work.
